Tax Professor Joins School of Accountancy

Dr. Tim Yoder, CPA, recently completed
his doctorate degree from
Pennsylvania State University.

The School of Accountancy welcomes Assistant Professor, Dr. Timothy Yoder to Mississippi State. As of August 15, Yoder officially became a part of the faculty.

For the fall semester, Yoder is teaching Income Tax I. In the spring he will also teach Principles of Managerial Accounting.

Dr. Yoder holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He also attended Pennsylvania State University where he received his Ph.D. in Accounting.

Dr. Yoder, a Certified Public Accountant, previously served as a tax supervisor for BKD, LLP in Colorado Springs.

“I am excited to work with the faculty in the School of Accountancy,” said Dr. Yoder.
“The extensive tax program offered at MSU at both the undergraduate and graduate level is particularly exciting to me. While it may be difficult to fill the shoes of Dr. Milam, I look forward to becoming a valuable member of this team.”

When Dr. Yoder is not teaching, you might be able to find this pilot at the nearest airport. In his spare time, Yoder enjoys flying airplanes, although he admits that he does not have much time for this hobby anymore.
