Beginning in November, Dr. Hollingsworth and Dr. Milam will be on the road teaching a tax update seminar. This two-day seminar will qualify for 16 hours of Continuing Professional Education Credit.

Major issues of this seminar will include new legislation, rulings and cases, individual taxpayer issues, domestic production activities deduction, business issues, state issues, retirement and ethics. Other topics may include agricultural issues, business entities, estate and gift taxes, tax credits, and trade or businesses.

The seminar will also include a one-hour presentation on professional ethics. Dr. Mark Lehman will examine in detail Section 6.2, Independence, of the Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy.

The tax update seminars will take place in surrounding areas such as Cleveland, Jackson, Hattiesburg, Starkville and Memphis, Tenn.
