SUBJECT:     Time Limit for Master's Programs

 

DATE:                        February 23, 2001

 

DESCRIPTION OF POLICY:

The time limit on credits earned that can be accepted toward fulfilling the requirements for master's degrees in business is six years.

 

DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS FOR CHANGING POLICY:

The aspects of this policy beyond University standards are subject to majority vote by the College of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.

 

DESCRIPTION OF RELATED PROCEDURE:

This requirement is checked by the Office of Graduate Studies in Business and by the Office of Graduate Studies in clearing candidates for graduation.  The Dean of the College of Business and Industry may approve an exception to this time limit based on a written request from the Director of Graduate Studies in Business.

 

REVIEW OF POLICY/PROCEDURE:

This COBI-AOP will be reviewed at least every five years by the Graduate Policies Committee at the request of the Graduate Director with request for revision presented to the College of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.
