SUBJECT:     Eligibility to Take Qualifying Examinations

 

DATE:                        May 4, 2000

 

DESCRIPTION OF POLICY:

The student may schedule the Qualifying Examination after successfully completing the specified courses, with approval of the Office of Graduate Studies in Business.

 

DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS FOR CHANGING POLICY:

Majority vote by the College of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.

                       

DESCRIPTION OF RELATED PROCEDURE:

It is the sole responsibility of the students to notify the Graduate Studies in Business office and the appropriate department of their desire to take an exam.  Notification must be made at least 30 days prior to the scheduled date of the examination they plan to take.  Extenuating circumstances may be cause for being excused from the exam. The student may apply in writing to be excused  from a scheduled exam to the Director of Graduate Studies in Business. The acceptability of the excuse will be determined by the Director of Graduate Studies in Business.

 

REVIEW OF POLICY/PROCEDURE:

This COBI-AOP will be reviewed at least every five years by the Graduate Policies Committee at the request of the Graduate Director with request for revision presented to the College of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.
