SUBJECT:     Comprehensive (Oral) Examination Results

DESCRIPTION OF POLICY:

A four-fifths affirmative vote of the Graduate Program Committee is required for passing.

 

DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS FOR CHANGING POLICY:

Majority vote by the College of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.

                       

DESCRIPTION OF RELATED PROCEDURE:

The committee may vote to pass, fail, or continue.  A vote to continue means that the exam is not concluded, but will resume a  future date established by the committee.  At the conclusion of the examination, following the committee’s deliberations, the chairman of the committee will inform the student of the results.  The results of the examination are to be transmitted to the Office of Graduate Studies in Business using the Graduate School’s “Report of Examination Results” form.  All members of the committee are required to sign the form.  The MSU Office of Graduate Studies will be notified of the results by the Graduate Studies in Business.

 

REVIEW OF POLICY/PROCEDURE:

This COBI-AOP will be reviewed at least every five years by the Graduate Policies Committee at the request of the Graduate Director with request for revision presented to the College of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.
