DESCRIPTION OF POLICY:
All policies, procedures, and
rules relative to the College of Business and Industry’s Graduate Programs will
be published in manual form, made available and kept on file for reference in
the Office of Graduate Studies in Business and the Office of the Dean, and
distributed to the Graduate Faculty on a website. Further, a plan will be developed for the periodic review and
updating of these policies, procedures, and rules.
DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS
FOR CHANGING POLICY:
Majority vote by the College
of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.
DESCRIPTION OF RELATED
PROCEDURE:
The Director of Graduate
Studies will maintain the “Graduate Studies in Business COBI Academic Operating
Policy and Procedure Manual” and make it available on the Graduate Studies in
Business website. It will contain the
policy and procedure statements relevant to the College’s graduate
programs. Each statement will give:
COBI-AOP Number – 20.00 through 29.99 for Graduate
Studies;
Subject – what the statement relates to;
Date – the date the statement was published;
Description of the Policy, as given by the body adopting
the statement;
Description of Process for Changing Policy;
Description of Related Procedure;
Review
of Policy/Procedure – stating how often (every five years, e.g.,
20%
per year, for Graduate Studies), by whom (Graduate Policies Committee,
Department, etc), and at whose request (Director of Graduate Studies);
Approved
– to be signed and dated by the Reviewer (Director of Graduate
Studies) and the Dean of the College; and
Revision
History – giving the dates of the original statement and any
revisions.
These statements, bearing
the same numbers, will also be contained in the College of Business and
Industry College-Wide Policy Manual maintained and distributed by the Dean’s
Office.
REVIEW OF
POLICY/PROCEDURE:
This COBI-AOP will be reviewed at least every five years by the Graduate Policies Committee at the request of the Graduate Director with request for revision presented to the College of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.
