of Faculty for Dissertation and Thesis Work

DESCRIPTION OF POLICY:
Meritorious recognition in the
form of reduced teaching load, and or salary increases will be given by the
administration of the College of Business and Industry for serving on Master’s
thesis committees and Ph.D. dissertation sub-committees.
DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS
FOR CHANGING POLICY:
Majority vote by the College
of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.
DESCRIPTION OF RELATED
PROCEDURE:
Faculty members are
responsible for keeping records of committees served on and for reporting this
information on their performance appraisals. The number of dissertation committees chaired or served on, and
the extent of involvement in this work should be considered in work load
allocation and release time assignments.
REVIEW OF
POLICY/PROCEDURE:
This COBI-AOP will be reviewed at least every five years by the Graduate Policies Committee at the request of the Graduate Director with request for revision presented to the College of Business and Industry Graduate Faculty.
